Doctor accused of having caused woman's death through negligence

When a patient here in Connecticut is under the care of a doctor, they expect that the doctor will act in a proper manner in relation to their care. When doctors act negligently towards patients, the results can be disastrous. The result of such negligence can sometimes even be a fatality.

A wrongful death lawsuit has recently been brought alleging that a doctor failed to provide a woman with proper care. The case is from another state, Florida.

According to the lawsuit, the woman underwent a surgery that was performed by the doctor. It says that, a little less than a month after the surgery, the woman went to the doctor's office. According to it, during the woman's office visit, the doctor did not see her nor did he give her examinations. It claims that, after the visit, the doctor wrote the woman a prescription for muscle relaxers.

The lawsuit accuses the doctor of having committed multiple negligent actions.

The lawsuit claims that there were certain examinations that should have been conducted on the woman and, thus, that the doctor's failure to give the woman examinations during the woman's office visit was negligent. It is very important for doctors to act properly when it comes to examinations, as examinations can play a significant role in catching medical problems.

The lawsuit further alleges that the doctor's decision to give the woman a muscle relaxer prescription was negligent. Prescription-related negligence can be incredibly impactful, as it can result in a patient taking a medication that will do them more harm than good.

Additionally, the lawsuit claims that the doctor should have given the woman advice and/or supplies regarding the prevention of deep vein thrombosis, but did not. When a doctor has reason to believe that a patient could be vulnerable to a certain type of condition, it can be very important for them to help the patient when it comes to the prevention of the condition.

According to the lawsuit, the doctor's alleged negligent actions resulted in the woman dying of a pulmonary embolism caused by deep vein thrombosis.

One wonders what the result of this case will be.
