“Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go! The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh over the wide and drifting snow, Oh!” Many of you may be too young to remember that holiday carol, but it is one of the classics that was always sung at this time of year to kick off the holiday season.
Obviously there aren’t anymore sleighs and very few of us are bouncing around in them over any rivers and through any woods, but it still brings a nice image and a happy memory for many of us “old timers”.
Today, unfortunately we’re all moving too fast for sleighs and snow and rivers and woods. It’s usually a race to see how quickly we can get where ever we’re headed, if we can get there faster than we did last year and in many cases, how quickly we can leave so that we can beat traffic going home.
It is often the case that many of us don’t take the time to truly be present even when we are with our family and loved ones, because we’re always worried about work. And others of us don’t stop and take time to be thankful for the gifts we have been given, because again, it’s not on the top of our list and we are too focused on everything else, or we constantly rush around and take all of these wonderful blessings for granted.
As we stop, take a breath and reflect on all of our blessings, this year, the Wocl Leydon Family would like to thank all of you for your gift of trust. We would like you to know how much it means to us that you have let us help you when you needed it most. You have given us one of the greatest gifts anyone can give another person, the gift of unguarded, unfiltered, unfettered trust. It is this gift that we are truly honored and blessed to receive.
You will never know what it means to us. So, today at this holiday, “We are ‘thankful’ for ‘YOU’. It is our honor and privilege to serve you. Thank you for all that you have brought to our lives. We hope that we have helped make your lives a little better by our service and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the New Year.
The Wocl Leydon Family would like to wish you all a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
