Hospital Accused of Delivery-related Negligence

When a medical professional or medical facility acts negligently when providing care in connection to the delivery of a baby, it can result in the infant in question suffering great harm. Sadly, such negligence can sometimes even result in an infant’s death. Thus, it is very important for medical professionals and medical facilities to act properly when providing birth-related care.

Recently, a set of cases has arisen involving the above-mentioned type of negligence. The cases are from Georgia. The cases involve a hospital in Fulton County, Georgia.

Five women have accused the hospital of having provided them with negligent care when they were giving birth to a child. It has been alleged that this alleged negligence resulted in the babies of four of the women dying and the baby of the fifth woman suffering a birth injury.

Reportedly, the hospital has denied having acted improperly in connection to the care of the women.

The women have brought lawsuits against the hospital in connection to the above allegations of negligence. The article on myFox Atlanta’s website which reported this story did not mention what specific relief the women are seeking in their lawsuits. One wonders what will ultimately happen in these cases.

No infant should have to suffer injuries or lose his or her life because a medical professional or medical facility acted negligently when providing birth-related care. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals and medical facilities are held accountable when they engage in negligence like that alleged in the above-mentioned cases.
