Lawsuit Alleges Surgeon Committed Medical Negligence

No patient should have to be subjected to medical negligence. Such negligence can be very harmful to patients. For example, such negligence can sometimes result in patients suffering injuries. Injuries suffered due to medical negligence can be very impactful on a patient’s life. Thus, it is very important for medical professionals to make sure to act properly towards patients and to not commit medical negligence.

Recently, a case involving allegations of medical negligence has arisen. The case is from Illinois. The case involves a woman who received care at a hospital in Illinois in 2011.

According to the woman, during the course of this care, a surgeon examined a hematoma that the woman had. The woman alleges that the surgeon acted negligently in relation to the examination of the hematoma and that this alleged negligence resulted in her not receiving proper treatment for the hematoma. The woman claims that this, in turn, resulted in her suffering nerve compression.

According to the article on the Madison/St. Clair Record’s website which reported this story, a lawsuit has been brought by the woman in a court in Illinois in connection to these allegations. The lawsuit names the above-mentioned surgeon as defendant. It has been reported that this lawsuit is seeking damages. It will be interesting to see what happens in this medical malpractice case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, medical negligence can cause great harm to patients. One hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they commit harmful medical negligence.
