LeAnn Rimes Accuses Dentist of Negligence

Patients can suffer a variety of harms when they are subjected to negligence by health care professionals (such as doctors or dentists). Harms suffered due to such negligence can be very impactful on a patient’s life. Thus, one hopes that all health care professionals make sure to act properly when it comes to the care of patients.

Recently, a celebrity has accused a dentist of negligence. The celebrity in question is singer LeAnn Rimes.

According to Rimes, the dentist provided her with negligent care. Rimes alleges that the dentist failed to properly diagnose dental problems she had. Rimes also claims that the dentist acted negligently in connection to the putting in of crowns and veneers.

According to Rimes, this alleged negligence caused her to suffer a variety of harms, including: pain, gum bleeding, gum inflammation, psychiatric/emotional injuries and having to undergo additional dental procedures. Rimes also alleges that the alleged negligence has impacted her “ability to perform as an artist.”

A lawsuit has been brought by Rimes against the dentist in connection to these allegations. According to the E! Online article which reported this story, damages are being sought in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what happens in this case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case illustrate, negligence by health care professionals can be very impactful on patients. One hopes that health care professionals are held accountable when they act negligently in connection to patient care and such negligence results in a patient getting hurt.
