With Christmas Eve right around the corner, the Wocl Leydon Family has taken this opportunity to pause, reflect and enjoy the small treasures of the holiday. As you share in the many traditions of this time of year, one of the most notable is reading one of the most famous poems of all time with the children in your life. As you read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to them, think back to the first time you ever heard this tale of Santa’s magical trip delivering presents around the world on Christmas Eve. Can you remember the wonder and amazement you felt? Can you remember what it felt like to think that he was “watching you” all throughout the year?
Christmas is about the magic and about believing. It is the one time in the year that we all take a break from the hustle and bustle of our day to day lives and become the children we once were.
Now take those feelings and think if you were truly in need, if you were uncertain where your next meal might come from or where you might sleep. What if you were a sick child spending the holiday in the hospital? What would “Christmas magic and believing” mean to you? Would Santa’s Christmas Eve trip have the same affect?
The Wocl Leydon Family would like to encourage you and your family to give the gift of “magic” and “believing” to someone in need this year. Help someone whose day to day is difficult and help them have at least one day of feeling the joy and wonder that comes from “being a child” at Christmas.
With joy, peace, and hope, the entire Wocl Leydon Family wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!!
