Wrongful Death Lawsuit Brought Against 2 Hospitals

No patient should have to be subjected to diagnosis-related negligence. Such negligence can cause a great deal of harm. Thus, it is very important for medical professionals and medical facilities to not engage in such negligence when providing care to patients.

Recently, a wrongful death case involving allegations of diagnosis-related negligence has arisen. The case is from Illinois. The case involves the medical care a now-deceased woman received.

According to the woman’s father, the woman received care at an urgent care center of an Illinois hospital and the emergency room of another Illinois hospital. The woman’s father claims that, at both locations, the woman was negligently misdiagnosed.

The woman’s father claims that the alleged negligent failures to diagnose the woman with the condition she was actually suffering from resulted in the woman dying. The woman’s death occurred around a year ago.

A wrongful death lawsuit has been brought by the woman’s father in a court in Illinois against the two above-mentioned Illinois hospitals in relation to these allegations. This lawsuit reportedly is seeking damages. One wonders what will happen in this wrongful death case and how it will ultimately be resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, diagnosis-related negligence can sometimes result in a patient’s death. No patient should have to lose his or her life because a medical professional or medical facility failed to act properly. Thus. one hopes that medical professionals and medical facilities are held accountable when they engage in negligence like that alleged in this case.
