Patients can suffer great harm when medical professionals and/or hospitals act negligently when providing them with care related to a surgical procedure. Sadly, such negligence can sometimes even result in a patient’s death. Thus, it is very important for medical professionals and hospitals to act properly when providing surgical and/or post-surgical care to patients.
Recently, a case involving the above-mentioned type of negligence has arisen in Pennsylvania. The case involves a man who underwent a hernia repair surgery at a hospital in Pennsylvania and who received care from the hospital after the surgery. The man reportedly died four days after undergoing the surgery.
The man’s family claims that the hospital and several medical professionals acted negligently in regards to the care of the man and that this alleged negligence contributed to the man’s death.
A lawsuit has been brought by the man’s family in a court in Pennsylvania against the above-mentioned hospital and the above-mentioned medical professionals in connection to these allegations. According to the Times-Tribune article which reported this story, damages are being sought in this lawsuit.
As the allegations in this case illustrate, it can be very harmful when medical professionals and/or hospitals act negligently when providing surgical and/or post-surgical care to patients. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals and hospitals are held accountable when they commit negligence like that alleged in this case. One also hopes that medical professionals and hospitals make sure to act properly when it comes to the surgical and/or post-surgical care of patients.
