Mariajose Serrano

I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 2017, my family made the life-changing decision to move permanently to the United States. It was a life-changing transition for me. I soon learned that the land of opportunity requires hard work and sacrifice to achieve your goals.

Shortly after arriving, I enrolled at White Plains High School and successfully graduated in 2018. Because my mother instilled in me the vast benefits of learning, education has always been important to me. As a result, I continued my studies at Westchester Community College. I earned my associate degree in paralegal studies in just a year and a half.

Driven by my passion for the legal field, I pursued my studies at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. In 2022, I proudly received my Bachelor of Laws degree and became the first graduating class. During my time at Mercy College, I was recognized for my academic achievements and became a member of the Honor Society, the President’s Roster, and Phi Theta Kappa. Maintaining a 3.8 GPA was a testament to my dedication and hard work.

In March 2023, I embarked on a new chapter in my career at Wocl Leydon.
