Chiropractor Accused of Negligence

Medical treatments are meant to help patients. However, when medical professionals or medical facilities act negligently in connection to medical treatments, such treatments can end up causing great harm to patients. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals and medical facilities here in Connecticut make sure to act properly when it comes to giving treatments to patients.

A case involving allegations of treatment-related negligence has recently arisen in another state. The state in question is Louisiana.

The case involves a chiropractor. A woman has said that she received care from the chiropractor after she was involved in a car crash. The woman alleges that, during this care, the chiropractor acted negligently in relation to a treatment he performed on her, a spinal manipulation.

According to the woman, this alleged negligence resulted in her suffering a stroke. The woman claims that this stroke has had serious and lasting impacts on her brain and her neurological function.

A lawsuit has been brought against a health care facility and the chiropractor by the woman and her husband in regards to these allegations. The woman and her husband are asking for damages in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what happens in this medical malpractice case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, treatment-related negligence can be extremely harmful to patients.

Another thing that can be seen in this case is that individuals will sometimes pursue medical malpractice claims in relation to alleged treatment-related negligence. Such claims are one of the ways medical negligence victims can seek relief for harms suffered due to the negligence they were subjected to.
